Multicultural and Cosmopolitan

Dublin Tomiki Aikido enjoys significant cultural diversity within it's membership, which has been growing naturally over the past number of years such that it has become a reflection of a more cosmopolitan and globalised society that Dublin and Ireland is moving towards.

An informal chat on the mats last week with our Juniors revealed a surprising depth of cultural diversity, with many younger members born outside Ireland or born in Ireland to parents of other nationality.

Approx 50% of our junior membership have origins other than Ireland with cultural links to the Philippines, Poland, England, Ukraine, Switzerland, India, Russia, Lithuania, Italy, Sweden, Georgia, Chile, Belgium and the USA.

As a community based club, it is important that we are open and inviting, making a point to ensure that parents and students of other cultures, feel included, that they and their children feel safe and that they belong in the club and the local community.

Having a multicultural membership in a sports club brings many opportunities to the club, its students and the local community.

Enrolling Juniors very soon

Because we have currently a number of 9 year old junior members moving up from Juniors class (6 - 9 yrs) to our Youth classes (10 -16 yrs) in the next few months we will have room for more Junior members to set started.  Please share via FaceBook /your preffered social channel or call us 0857296643 to book a place.
