WSAF World Championships 2019

History has been made by two members of DTA competing at the WSAF World Championships in San Diego California in July (2019).

Pamela Dempsey and Keith McClean, the two highest graded members and senior Instructors/Coaches of our club are the first ever Irish senior players to medal at World Championship Level.

Pam & Keith's commitment to their own skills development and to squad training in Ireland and the UK has been extraordinary, resulting in consistent selection as part of the BAA (British Aikido Association) National team competing at the last three World Championships (2015, 2017 and 2019). The skill level and hard work of this pair paid off this year resulting in them reaching the World Championship finals and taking Silver Medals.
